Hatha Yoga Sessions

The term Hatha is derived from two Sanskrit root sounds ‘ha’ and ‘tha’. The sound Ha represents the solar flow in the right nostril (Pingla Nadi) whereas Tha stands for the lunar flow in the left nostril (Ida Nadi). These sounds signify two opposite forces; positive and negative respectively. Asanas, Pranayamas, Mudras, Bandhas and Satkarmas together form the system of Hatha Yoga.

Hatha Yoga works on physical, psychophysical and psychological aspects and is also known as the Physiological Yoga the Ghatsya Yoga. Yogi Gorakshnath, a disciple of Yogi Matsyendrantah–founder of Hatha Yoga is considered as the reformist Hatha Yogi of his era. He traveled across India to teach systematic Yoga—now known as the system of Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Sanskrit manual on Hatha Yoga was written by Gorakshnath’s disciple Swami Swatmarma.

Yogic Meditation & Sound Healing/Meditation/Bath

The technique of meditation is being practiced, discussed and researched by a large number of people today. This technique doesn’t remain constrained to only yogis and monks anymore. Now common people including school/college students, businessmen, home-makers, male-female, young-old are finding it useful too.

The ancient spirituality and wisdom tradition considers it the means to discover one’s true self. However, the modern-day worldly yogis are adapting it to manage their stress and improve their work productivity. There is substantial research that suggests that meditation can do wonders to our body and mind.

Meditation brings us close to our innate nature which is characterized by joy, compassion and absolute bliss. Once you get swept by the wonderful experience of meditation, you crave for it! It’s a blissful addiction.
